The Paper Shelter Design Call

Looks like Saskatchewan is up for another cold week in winter with temperatures of -22 to -30 degrees celcius (not including windchill factors) or -8F to -22F for my American friends.  I am looking forward to this winter releasing it's grasp and finally warming up.

But anyhow, back to why we are here, I have decided to put my hat in the ring for The Paper Shelter Design Team.

I was fortunate a while back and won a Paper Shelter Image and loved it completely! So this feels absolutely like the right fit for me.   I added 3 pictures for this DT Call including the card I made with the image I won.

The First is Blanche.  She is a Saturated Canary image which are always so much fun to play with!

The second image is called Learning is Fun and the image is from The Paper Shelter.  Isn't she just too cute!

The last card for today is a card with the digi from Tiddly Inks .  I used spellbinders for the die and added a whole lot of bling! I love coloring little goth girls!!!  I even used an embossing folder with skulls on it! What a fun birthday card!

Well... I guess that's about it for one day.

I hope you have enjoyed all the cards and wish me luck with The Paper Shelter Design Team Call.

PS... Hope everyone keeps warm where ever they are!

First try at Scrabble Tile Pendants

I have always wanted to try and make scrabble pendants.  This year I finally did it.  I made this for a couple of friends in the crafting world for part of their Christmas presents.  These are super fun to make and completely addicting!

To make these watch the video below.  You can do just about anything with these.  I used other crafty stuff instead of flat printed images on my scrabble tiles.

On the left I colored the metal embellishment with copics.  The background color is done with acrylic paint.

On the right side I used a flatback resin flower and used gold leaf for accenting.  Once I had the applique down I dropped a few clock bits for a bit of a steampunky look.  The bails were bought on ebay and are called aanraku bails.  I used E-6000 glue to adhere them onto the tile.

In the near future I'll put up some more pictures of similar projects to this that my sister and I tried out.

I hope you think these are as cool as I do! And maybe even try to make some yourselves.

Any who back to my card today.  These ATS images are definitely some of my favorite images to play with.  I love merging images to make new fun stamps to color.  Cupcake Brigitta from All that Scraps   is one of my favorites from them.  I merged her with the bend to create this unique easel card.  I used spellbinders for all dies.  I glittered her cute little cupcakes and also Brigitta's wings.
