Recipe Challenge

Here is my GD Card for this weeks Recipe Challenge at http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.ca/

I wanted to make up a special card for my co-worker.  She is an absolute sweet heart so I wanted something really pretty and girly.  I certainly hope that this will fit the bill and that she loves it.   The image is actually from http://www.stampingbella.com/index.php?cPath=345.  My good card friend sent me this for Christmas.  Thanks Marilyn, I LOVE her! You can see her beautiful work on her blog here.

Bella is colored with copics and added a little bit of sparkle here and there.  I added blue bling and a pearl from my stash. The beautiful ribbon is from Stampin Up. I used one of my favorite new Spellbinder's Gold Elements die.

Hope you have enjoyed today's card and hope you will head over to  http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.ca/ and try to win some of the excellent images from the sponsors!

Nautical Themed Birthday Card

I made this card for my husband's birthday.  I often do a cutesy sort of card and this year I really wanted to have a more masculine card.  I found this unlabeled unmounted boat in my arsenal of rubber images and ran with it. I've always wanted to do a nautical themed card and what better day to do it than today. The sketch idea came from A Die for a Sketch. I added a Tim Holtz gears die and added some fun blue eyelets, shells, and brad in the shape of a pocket watch. The image was colored with copics and sponged the clouds. The main embossing folder was from Couture Creations called World Fair.

I hope you have enjoyed this card as much as I do.  I just LOVE it.   The sentiment was created by me! I was so proud of myself!

Cute sisters hanging out together!

These cuties are from All that Scraps.   I used Inkscape to place these two on the All that Scraps bench. Aren't they just sweet?  I just love playing around with digital stamps and merging them and seeing what I can come up with and I also just absolutely LOVE coloring!

Recently my sister and I shared an awesome day together. We first hit the gym doing my favorite class-spinning. Then we headed over to Moose Jaw and had lunch at our very favorite wings and milkshakes cafe named Deja Vu and while we were there we learnt that they recently filmed an episode with the food network for the show You Gotta Eat Here. How cool is that! I knew it was awesome here and now everyone will too. Then we did some good ole fashion retail therapy which included a newer store called Oliv for you guessed it, olive oils and balsamic vinegar's. They sell over 92 flavors! Incredible right? And there is available taste testing of any of them or combinations of them. My sister and I both broke down and bought 3 flavors each. Then we trotted along to do what we came to Moose Jaw to do- canoeing. We had purchased a Groupon some time back and it was edging towards it's expiry so here we were, 2 girls tackling a new sport as I shall call it, for the first time. The service was regrettable, but once Chantal and I got our self taught skills moving along in the 30+C heat or 86 F for my American friends, we really enjoyed our sun screened selves. After a truly wonderful, yet dehydrating experience, we made our way back to main street and tried a little place Tutti Frutti which serves frozen yogurt and it was exactly what the doctor ordered!

But, heck I just noticed my ramblings of my perfect day with my sister and should show you my card with Cookies Emma and Cherry Emma from All that Scraps.

Here is a picture of Chantal and myself.  Chantal is the dark haired cuties eating who knows what.

Hope you enjoyed today's post!

This will be sent to the following challenges:

The Joyful Stamper: Anything Goes
Sweet 'n Sassy: Fun Folds

Dare to be Different

Good day my favorite people! Today's card was created with Doodle Pantry's Branch Birds 2 and of course colored with my favorite copics! I used spellbinders label's 13 and used various punches for clouds, leaves, branches, and butterflies.  I also used some of my favorite embellishments... pearls!  I love these pearls.  I stopped buying them in colors so I could just color them with my copics to match everything I do!

Here's a bit of a close up of the bottom half.

If you guys don't know, I just started this blog 3 weeks ago and man... I am having so much fun.  I am loving doing this.  Sharing cards and ideas with people is so much fun! It got me back on track to making cards too.  I have to give a special thanks to Marilyn who gently nudged me to do this.

This card was entered in the following challenges:
Craft your passion: flips and folds
Little Miss Muffet: Loads of Layers
Paper Makeup Stamps: Things with Wings
Paper Playtime: Say it with sentiments
There She Goes: Winged Things

Thanks for looking!

Giddy-Up!

This is a Rootin' Tootin' male birthday card!

This easel card was created with the Rootin' Tootin Cowboy by Karen's Doodles and was colored with copics.  I used Spellbinders label's #9 to cut out the image and it's background.  The back top half of the card was embossed with the Perfect Details texture plate by Stampin Up.

I used some blue brads from my stash.

The sheriff badge was created with my cricut.  Then I embossed it many times in gold embossing powder then when the gold looked silky smooth and still hot I placed a Stampin Up stamp on it to heat emboss the image which says Happy Birthday on it. Afterwards I dabbed some black ink in the stamp image to make it stand out more.

Hope you have enjoyed this card.

Just another day in May.

Good day everyone! The birds are chirping this morning and the weather is nice today here in Regina, SK.  Hope the weather is treating everyone nicely where ever you are.

Today's image comes from CC Designs   and is called Balloon Emma and I also used their bench for this easel card. I used Inkscape to combine these digital images.  All the coloring was done with copic markers.  The punch is from Martha Stewart and it is called Pine Needles. The balloon has been crystal lacquered.
