I can't say I am really that crafty. I don't do alot of other crafty things except for card making and some limited scrapbooking. However, once in a while I get this feeling to do something different. I had a friends birthday coming up and wanted something special for her. So I decided on this cute bird's tree.
This is how it comes. All boring until magic happens!
Here is a copy of the finished base. I used various flocking from my husbands hobby which included various grasses and rocks. Then added those pretty little flowers from a rhinestone and pearl bling set I had.
Here is the actual bird house part. The bird was an awesome find at Michaels. The green leaves are wood chip pieces that I adjust to fit the way I wanted them to after painting them and adding crackle glue. There was many colors used, I think about 4 or 5 in all. I just sort of mashed some colors together and then played around with it until I got the look I wanted. I then added some pearls and dew drops and some ribbon. Not sure how well you can see it, but I also stamped the wood with a wood grain stamp for a more realistic bird house.
Here is the finished product. This is one of my favorite "non-card" products. It was fun, really quite quick and not expensive either!
Thanks for stopping in,
