Nathan, we meet at last.

So, do you have a favorite actor?  A celebrity role model?  I do and my husband has been wonderfully supportive of my undying appreciation for Nathan Fillion for many years now (the second man in my life, LOL) He is not just a little supportive you see... he found out that Nathan was going to be in Calgary for the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo  and suggested IF I wanted to, we could go Calgary for the trip! IF I wanted too, Bwah!

This trip was so exciting for so many reasons.  I got to see people dress up as their favorite people.  See... here is Captain America! How awesome is it to just see people walking around all costumed up for the hell of it? Walking around downtown Calgary, at the Expo, on the C-train.  They were everywhere!

And here is IRON MAN! Seriously this guy was incredible.  He made this costume his own self! Anyone who knows me, knows I love Iron Man so this was freakin awesome!

Here is Robert Patrick.   I have known Patrick since X-files, Terminator but my favorite show with him was the Unit.  Check it out, it's on Netflix and is AWESOME!   I got to watch the X-Files panel with Mitch Pileggi, Gillian Anderson and Robert Patrick.  It was a 45 minute session on X-files.  It was amazing to be in the same room with anyone of these people, let alone THREE!

Well done up cars!

I also got to meet the incredibly talented Peter Dinklage! Her is working on my absolutely favorite current tv show, Game of Thrones!  The second panel was for Game of Thrones.  Seriously, I loved it. Lena Headly and Peter Dinklage were AMAZING!  The whole audience just hung on every word he said.

Other actors in attendance were Carrie Fisher, Wil Wheaton, Eliza Dushku, Richard Dean Anderson, Stan Lee, Linda frickin Hamilton!, and also nearly half the cast of The Walking Dead! and so so so many others.

But, you've been waiting patiently for the most important picture haven't you? So here it is!

And in case you don't recognize Nathan,(which seems absolutely crazy to me) he is the actor who plays Castle on tv check him out here  http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0277213/?ref_=sr_1

Here is Nathan and I! Yes, that's right... he is touching my shoulder!!!! Me screaming like a 16 year-old girl! Isn't he dreamy? He's also funny!

Here is my slightly nerdified Soul!

Hope you enjoyed today's cardless post as much as I did!

Mother's Day and My BIRTHDAY!

Today's post has a couple of cards that I made for mother's day.  The first two are similar with just a few changes to play around with the looks of the cards.  I really like the color combination.  Who knew this crazy green, pink and brown go together?

I used many dies to create this card.  I also used Make-the-Cut with my cutter to create that interesting background piece.   After doing these cards I realized that I only have one stamp for Happy Mother's Day so you know what that means? Shopping!!!

And now for more and exciting news!

Today is my birthday! My husband is well aware of my Lego obsession, especially minifig obsession so this was for my birthday!  He got me a brand new creator series which I LOVE and now I have a cool hospital to build too.

The pictures don't do the faces justice, but this is my favorite so I had to add him.  It's that the best face!  Makes me laugh every time!

Aren't these minfigs like the cutest EVER? They are from the minifig series 10 group.  I am just trying to get the Decorator and the Librarian to finish the ones I want from this series. http://minifigures.lego.com/en-us/default.aspx?icmp=COUSFR23Minifigures

I got these creator series a couple of weeks ago in Calgary.  They were meant for me to make later in the month when I have time off, but I couldn't help build them as soon as we got home.  I added a few extra minifigs from my collection.  Now it's like a party house!

This was the second creator house I built.  Isn't this soooo darn CUTE!

I will update you guys on my progress with my new creator series and my hospital as I make them.

Hope you have enjoyed this fun post!

Sea my card!

I like to play around with my crafting.  So I will often try new techniques and play around with my products.  I tried to do a sea look by bouncing my rubber roller around the photo paper to create this type of look.  I like how it turned out, but I have seen some that are much more bold which I would like to emulate.  I used ALL rubber images for this card, which is pretty rare for me these days.  I unforuntatly didn't keep the packaging for the stamp set and they all were on one page, so I can't tell you who made this set.  It's is an awesome set though.  I tried searching some on ebay without any luck.  The punch on the bottom is a from Martha Stewart and I used some beads for some flavoring.

Thanks for looking at today's CAS card.
